Lehrgang Applied Financial Mathematics (Zertifikat) von Distance and Independent Studies Center (DISC) der RPTU

In-depth knowledge of concepts and methods from financial mathematics and actuarial science, and the ability to apply these statistically and numerically, are becoming increasingly important in the financial and insurance sectors. The distance learning programme provides the participants with the fundamentals of modern Financial Mathematics. In addition they can choose from several specializations in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics, Financial Economics and Computational Methods which also allow to understand current research in the corresponding areas.

Compared to our master's programme “Financial Engineering”, the certificate programme's standard period of study is shorter and it entails a specialisation in Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Mathematics or Financial Economics. The certificate programme aims at graduates who would like to specialise in one of the fields in a shorter period of time without pursuing a (further) academic degree.

Mandatory on-campus phases take place once per semester over a (long) weekend in Kaiserslautern.
